New Album In The Works

It's been awhile since our last blog entry, that's not to say we haven't been busy. Over the past year or so we've been "massaging" (as J. Wolfe would say) out new material and playing a lot of shows.

We expect to start recording in late March/early April.

If all goes as planned (cause life usually does) we'll be releasing a new album in 2013. 

In other news. Nearly all of the Misanthrope T-Shirts are gone so we printed up a new design.

New Songs

We've been working on a lot of new material for our sophomore album, (untitled) which should hopefully be released in late 2012. We worked extensively on the track "Limbo" last night. It features mandolin, violin, bongos and three part harmonies, we can't wait to share the finished product with the world. Here's a rough instrumental demo of it for now.  

Here's a little taste of what else we've been working on, the song is called "The Answer" - It's a very stripped down acoustic version which will differ from the studio version you'll hear on the new album. This was taken from a live show that we performed as a trio. (Jason/Guitar, Jesse/Vocals & Dave/Guitar)

CD Release Party

The release of our new album "Misanthrope" is set for July 16th! It will be available on all the major download sites (iTunes, Zune, Amazon,CD Baby, etc.) If you can make it out to the CD Release Party @ The Fine Line in Minneapolis on Saturday the 16th, we'll be offering discounted prices on the CD's, digital download cards and T-shirts!
